  • IF I TALK TO YOU ABOUT WHETHER I HAVE A CASE, WILL YOU CHARGE ME ANYTHING?

  • No.

  • WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

I work on a contingency fee basis, which means that there are no attorney's fees unless I get a recovery for you. Also, I will pay all expenses (not including any of your unpaid medical bills), and if I do not obtain a recovery for you, I will not ask you to pay for those expenses. So, you will never pay the Law Office of Lannis Temple any money, but in the event of a successful recovery, you will receive monies.

  • WHY SHOULD I HIRE THIS LAW FIRM?

I care. I listen. I am very thorough and dogged until justice is served. I enjoy helping people put their lives back together and listening to their story and making them feel like somebody cares about their future. For instance, a few years ago, a family interviewed over five law firms and attorneys, including this law office. The family hired this law office; they told me I was the only attorney they had talked to who was sincerely interested in the health of their severely injured baby. They told me the other law firms and attorneys were more interested in the money to be made, rather than their baby.

  • MY INJURY WAS PRETTY RECENT. SHOULD I CONTACT AN ATTORNEY?

Yes. It is easier for an attorney to investigate a case and talk with witnesses about a case when it is fresh in their mind. It may be that if you delay, it will be much more difficult to find witnesses or to protect your rights. There are some cases that require fairly prompt notice of a claim and if that prompt notice is not given, you could lose your rights. An attorney is the person to help you navigate the minefield.

  • WHAT IS A BOARD-CERTIFIED PERSONAL INJURY TRIAL LAW ATTORNEY?

The State Bar of Texas awards the board-certification designation to a small percentage of attorneys in various specialties, including personal injury trial law. In order to become board certified in personal injury trial law, you must mainly have practiced personal injury trial work, have completed at least 10 trials, and received recommendations from other attorneys and judges. You then must pass a fairly difficult written exam.

  • WHAT IS AN AV RATED LAWYER?

Martindale-Hubbell, which publishes directories of lawyers nationwide, publishes ratings of attorneys. An AV rating indicates very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards, as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar.
